# How the Course Completion Page Works for Students

Course Completion Page provides Students with a clear final step after Moodle has marked a course as complete.

The page confirms that the course has been completed, shows relevant achievement information, and provides useful next actions such as accessing a certificate, giving feedback, or exploring another course.

### When does the completion page become available?

The completion page is available only after Moodle reports that the Student has completed the course.

Course Completion Page does not calculate completion itself. It relies on the course completion criteria already configured in Moodle course.

Once those criteria have been satisfied, the Student can use the **Finish course** action at the end of the course journey to open the completion page.

### What happens when the Student selects Finish course?

Selecting **Finish course** opens the Course Completion Page for the completed course.

The page acts as a final confirmation step. It does not complete the course or change the Student's completion status.

The purpose is to give the Student a clear sense that the course has ended and to show the most relevant information about that completion.

### What can appear on the completion page?

The content depends on the course configuration and the information available for the Student.

The page can include:

- **Completion message** - Confirms that the course has been completed and can show the course name, completion date, and a custom completion message.
- **Certificate** - Shows an issued **Custom certificate** with options to preview or download it.
- **Achievements** - Can show completion date, Moodle course grade, time spent, and earned badges.
- **Feedback** - Links the Student to the Moodle Feedback activity configured for the course.
- **Suggested courses** - Shows manually selected courses or up to three visible courses from the same course category when no manual selections are configured.
- **Exit options** - Provides links such as **Dashboard**, **My courses**, and **Browse courses** so the Student can continue using the Moodle site.

### How missing information is handled

Course Completion Page only shows information that is available. For example:

- If no certificate has been issued, the certificate section is not shown.
- If no badge has been earned, badge information is omitted.
- If no course grade is available, the grade is not displayed.
- If no Feedback activity is configured, the feedback option is omitted.
- If no suitable suggested courses are available, the suggested courses section is not shown.

This keeps the completion page relevant to the individual course and Student without displaying empty sections.

### Can Students return to the completion page?

**Yes.** After completing the course, Students can return to the Course Completion Page from: **Course → More → Completion page**

This allows Students to revisit the page later if they want to access their certificate, review their completion information, or follow any available next-step options.
